Philip Neal Bray
September 11th, 1939 - April 22nd, 2018
Philip Neal Bray, 78, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018. A native of Trimble County, Kentucky, Philip was born September 11, 1939 to the late C. Harold and Marguerite Pecar Bray. A self-made man, Philip owned and operated many businesses throughout his lifetime. From ice cream shops to service stations, he was always moving from one business venture to the next. He enjoyed tinkering either with models or the real thing, Philip was always in the middle of building cars, boats, aircrafts, or even dune buggies. Philip was a perfectionist with an engineering mind. He saw the potential in something becoming great, and he made it so. Like the pond he felt was lacking a bridge, and the grist mill he added to his yard. A 32nd Degree Mason, Philip was an amazing man with a brilliant mind, a doer. Philip is survived by his children, Jerita (Donald) Colston, Maryland, Angelina (Jamey) Bennett, Frankfort, Daphne Criscillis, Louisville, and Eric (Sherry) Bray, Frankfort; brother William (Donna) Bray, Bagdad; and grandchildren, Jessie, Regan, Michael, Thomas, Haley, Parris, and Wix Lee, II. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph Bray, James Bray, Thomas Bray, and Jerry Bray. No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Memorial Donations be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
