Laurence Frederick Farrar
July 13th, 1943 - April 25th, 2016
Laurence Frederick Farrar passed away on April 25, 2016 after a long and arduous journey following a cardiac arrest 8 years ago. He was born on July 13, 1943 at Swedish Hospital in Seattle, WA. He enlisted in the US Army on May 25, 1964 and served in Thailand and Vietnam. He joined the Seattle Police Dept. after his army career and retired as a police Captain in 1995. He was also a volunteer Fireman with the rank of Captain for Snohomish County Fire Dist. #1. After retirement from SPD, he became the head of the Safety Security Dept. for the Seattle School Dist. He is survived by his wife Janice, son John and his wife Heather, a grandson Zachary David and granddaughter Lauren Ashley. He also has a brother Bill and 3 sisters Bonnie, Peggy Alice along with many friends and colleagues. There will be a memorial service for Larry on Sat May 14, 2016 at 2 pm at Becks Funeral Home in Edmonds, WA. Remembrances may be made to the charity of your choice.
