Ben T. Wise
December 18th, 1926 - April 25th, 2018
Ben T. Wise, 91, husband of Evelyn Wise, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2018. A native of Frankfort, he was born on December 18, 1926 to the late Willie W. and Evie Barker Wise. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served in WWII. Mr. Wise was a Sunday School Teacher and a Deacon at Memorial Baptist Church on Holmes St. He was a Boy Scout leader for Troop 126 for 30 years, an Eagle Scout and earned the Good Shepard Award. He was also a member of the VFW Post #4075, a member of the KY Stamp Club, and an officer with AARP. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Teresa (Joe) Brown, Frankfort, and Geri (Billy) Reinle, Lawrenceburg; his son, Tommy (Scottie) Wise, Lawrenceburg; his sister, Opal Tillett, Frankfort; his grandchildren, David Humphress, Mary Evelyn Reinle, Martin Wise, and Melanie Wise; and several great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. Rev. Mike Colston will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Serving as casketbearers will be Eddie Palko, Ron Worley, Johnny Leinle, Forrest Banta, Wayne Denson, and David Games. Serving as honorary casketbearers will be Junie Tillett, , David Collins, Steve Woodruff, and Gary Conway. Visitation will be held from 4:00pm until 8:00pm on Monday, April 30, 2018 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
