Doug Coubert, 54, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018. The husband of Debra Steele Coubert, Doug was born December 14, 1964 to Otis and Margaret Cox Coubert in Versailles, Kentucky. He was a Maintenance Technician for Topy America Inc, a golfer, an avid Texas Longhorns and Cowboys fan, rode his Harley every chance he got, and loved his Ford trucks. Most of all, Doug loved his grandchildren. In addition to his wife of 31 years, Debbie, Doug leaves behind his mother, Margaret Coubert; daughters, Amanda (Mark) Spears, Berea and Beth Coubert, Versailles; brothers, James Ray “Jimmy” Coubert, Lawrenceburg and Shorty Coubert, Midway; grandchildren, Cameron Douglas and Sophia Ann; mother in law, Elza Steele; and beloved chocolate lab, Diesel. Doug was preceded in death by his father, Otis Coubert. A Funeral Service will be held 1:00pm, Thursday, January 3, 2018 at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill in Versailles, officiated by Pastor Todd Lester. Burial will follow in Midway Cemetery. His friends will serve as pallbearers. A Visitation will be held from 11:00am until time of service on Thursday.
