Sally Baker

Our Sally passed away at sunrise on Saturday July 13th, 2013 surrounded by her loving and heartbroken family. She always was a morning person. Holding her soft hand as she left this world were her mother Becky, her dad George, her wonderful brothers, Walter, Richard and Michael and her devoted sister, Julie. Sally also leaves behind three beautiful sisters-in-law: Susie, Joy and Erin along with her pride and joy, her remarkable nieces and nephews: Cory, Haley, Jordan, Jessica, Ian, Oran, and Rhiannon Baker. Sally had many good friends and close cousins: Lynne Kirsten, Mary Potts, Jerry, Chris, Mike, Tim, Peter and Theresa Scott who miss her already. Sally was born on September 3rd,1956 in Seattle, and attended Mariner High School and the University of Washington. Sally was extremely bright and loved winning at Jeopardy. She enjoyed reading several books simultaneously, attending Broadway musicals with her best friend Michelle Goldberg, having breakfast with her mom, and being at Mariners games with the roof open. She appreciated classic Bette Davis movies, good restaurants, designer handbags, nice Nordstrom shoes, and stylish eyewear. Sally left this world too soon, but was always surrounded by love and laughter. She lived life on her own terms. She was born with some unique challenges and met them with infinite patience, humor, grace and understanding. She smiled through adversity and didnt have a mean bone in her body. Sally was generous, eternally optimistic, and rarely had a bad word to say about anyone. She had a heart of gold and a quick wit. She was a dedicated and hard worker who enjoyed the many Comcast Cares days with her professional colleagues when she could work on community improvement projects to help make the world a better place. Sally asked to be cremated, and no formal service will be held at this time. A celebration of Sallys life is being planned for a future date. Until then, Sally will remain with her family who wishes to keep her close for just a little while longer.
