Michelle Mastrini-McAteer

Dr. Michelle Lynn Mastrini-McAteer, born September 30th, 1960, passed away while surrounded by family on her 57th birthday. Graduating Pueblo Centennial class of ‘79, Michelle pursued a PhD. in education and served most recently as Principal of Moore Middle School in Jefferson County School District. Michelle lived vivaciously, and when she was not in pursuit of knowledge or helping to advocate and empower her students, she was likely cheering her daughters on in every way possible. Michelle also loved great company and conversation, delicious wine and food, reading with a steaming cup of coffee, and watching sports or Sunday morning news with her beloved Patrick. Showing grace and joy in life and death alike, Michelle is survived by her husband of 32 years, Patrick McAteer, and their two daughters, Caitlin Paige Shannon and Claire Elyse Mackenzie McAteer, of Westminster, CO. She is also survived by her mother, Margie Mastrini (Pueblo, CO), brother, Mark Mastrini (St. Petersburg, FL), and many special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Michelle was predeceased by her father, George Mastrini, 1977. A Celebration of Life will follow in early November. Please check back for additional details on this event.
