January 29th, 1929 - May 7th, 2019
J.B. Montgomery, 90, widower of Lindia Baxter Montgomery, passed away, Tuesday May 7, 2019. He was born January 29, 1929, to the late Leonard Gordon and Hannah Underwood Montgomery in Nicholasville, KY. J.B was a Corporal in the Army and served in the Korean War and was awarded the Purple Heart for his services to our country. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Versailles. J.B. was a skilled master carpenter and owned his own company, Montgomery Remodeling. He is survived by a daughter Jamie Lynn Montgomery, Frankfort; sons, James Michael Montgomery (Loretta), Harrodsburg, and Carey Montgomery (Carol), Richmond; a sister Rose Annetta Smith, Frankfort; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a son, Keith Benjamin Montgomery; sisters, Katherine Lee Walling, Mary Elizabeth Evans, Louise Estes and Geneva Burton; and brothers, Bobby Montgomery, David Montgomery and Phillip Montgomery. Funeral Services will be 2:00pm, Sunday May 12, 2019 at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill, officiating is Steve Black. Burial will follow at Corinth Church Cemetery in Lawrenceburg. Casketbearers will be James Michael Montgomery, James Michael Montgomery Jr., Carey Montgomery, Leonard Montgomery, Melvin Montgomery and James Carter. Visitation will be prior to service from 1:00pm-2:00pm at the funeral home.
