Doris Helen Mandell Lindsay died September 28, 2012 of complication of diabetes. Doris was born July 16, 1928 to Mamie Kate Killough and Isaac Jay Mandell. She grew up in Temple City, CA with brothers Stuart and Robert Mandell. She met Ken Lindsay at Pasadena Junior College and they married on August 10, 1945. They had 5 children: Janet Lindsay Gould and Robert of San Clemente, CA; sons, Richard Lindsay of Edmonds, Keith Lindsay (deceased), Jim and Kristy Lindsay of Kingston, and Paul Lindsay of Moses Lake, WA; grandchildren: Kristin Gould Tronca, Jennifer Gould DeVito, Kenny Gould, Janine Abbott Harles, Brianna Lindsay, Kellan Lindsay, Makenna Lindsay; and 3 great grandchildren: Jack and Brooke DeVito and Lily Tronca. Doris shared her life with family, friends and her devotion to the Edmonds United Methodist Church. Some of her favorite memories were spending time with family at the beaches of Southern California, and the parks and beaches of Edmonds. She was laid to rest next to Ken, her husband of 59 years, in the Edmonds Memorial Cemetery.
