Martha Louise Shields
February 24th, 1928 - February 17th, 2013
Martha L. Shields, 84, long-time resident of Kenmore, died Feb. 17, 2013 in Lake Stevens. She was born in Winsted, Conn to Severino and Adeline Vaccari. Martha began her long nursing career as a Lieutenant in the Army Corps of Nurses where she met her husband of 50 years, James Shields. She is survived by her daughter, Mary (Bill) Studerus; her granddaughters, Molly (Brandon Sias) Studerus and Amy Studerus; great grandson, Oliver; her sisters, twin Mary Bascetta and Virginia Guillet; and her brothers: John, Leo, and Dave Vaccari. Martha was preceded in death by her husband; and sons Dave and Tim.
