Roger W. Conley, 80, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2019. Born June 18, 1939 in Hawkins, Michigan, he was the husband of Pamela Conley and the son of the late Gertrude Aubel Wright, and Worth Conley. Roger came from humble beginnings and had a passion for life. He was a successful business man and entrepreneur. He graduated from Western Michigan University and attended Harvard Business School. His degrees in Business and Mechanical Engineering led him to his career with Talon and Textron companies and at a very young age he became Plant Manager of a factory in Seymour, Indiana. He was sent overseas to Wales to upstart a new factory and manage the European Industry which was primarily the manufacturing of zippers. From there he returned to the States and became the International Sales Manager for what was then Universal Fasteners (now YKK) a company that made snap fasteners, rivets and burrs primarily for the jeans industry. There was no task that Roger could not do. From putting together a brilliant business plan to working on machinery and restoring his vintage Jaguar cars. He had a brilliant mind and he influenced many people with his skills. Roger developed a passion for running and staying physically fit. He was an avid scuba diver and saltwater fisherman. His other hobbies were bee keeping and making wine. Every person who crossed his path fell in love with him. So vibrant, so humorous, so loving, with such a beautiful mind. With all his intelligence, skills and success he always remained a humble person. He truly loved everyone he met and reached out a helping hand to those in need. He had so many special friends and each and every one were dear to him. Roger and Pam loved spending time at their home and farm in Woodford County and their home in the Florida Keys. Roger dearly loved his son Christopher Todd Conley and his Step Daughter, Leslie Nicole Robinson. He had a passion for all his grandchildren. The amazing love between Roger and Pam was so obvious to all. They were best friends and an example of what a relationship is supposed to be. He will be missed by many special friends from all over the world. Roger was preceded in death by his mother, Gertrude Wright, his stepfather Wes Wright, his father Worth Conley, his son Brian Scott Conley, and his daughter Dana Marie Conley, his half brother H.D.
