On January 14, 2012 Patricia Jean Wilson went home to be with her Lord and Savior where she is now pain and worry free. A celebration of her life will be held at 10 a.m. on January 28, 2012 at Becks Funeral Home 405 5th Ave. S, Edmonds, WA 98020. Pat was born on April 13, 1931 in Pierre, South Dakota, the oldest girl of 7 children. She married Wayne, the love of her life, on May 21, 1949 in Benton City, WA. Throughout their married life they went where the Air Force assigned them and looked at each new assignment as another adventure. They were blessed with 2 children, Jerry (Denice) Wilson and Sherry(Dale)Cain; 5 grandchildren, Travis Wilson, Heather(Curt Mosman)Wilson, Patric Wilson, Sarah(Greg) Holzwarth, Daniel(Anna) Cain; 4 great grandchildren, Cheyenne Wilson, Sammi Jo Wilson, Ian Holzwarth and Cole Cain. She was happiest when surrounded by all her family. After many years as an Air Force family they settled in Mountlake Terrace in 1963 where they lived for the next 27 years. Pat worked for the Edmonds School District until 1990. She was active in the Washington State School Food Service lobbying in Washington D.C. for the School Lunch Program and serving in many different offices, including President. In 1990, Wayne and Pat retired to the Split Stump Ranchette at Paradise Bay WA where she was able to garden to her hearts content. She was well known for her talent in ceramics and her beautiful handmade baskets. She loved to walk on the beach and gather shells and rocks and share her love of the outdoors with her children and her grandchildren. A perfect day would end with a perfect sunset on her beloved Paradise Bay with Wayne by her side. In 2006 Pat and Wayne moved to Lake Stevens WA to be closer to family. Later they moved to Harbour Point Retirement Community in Mukilteo WA; Pat lived the last 1 1/2 years of her life at Sunrise View in Everett, WA. Pat was preceded to Heaven by her parents; Lloyd, Zora, and Royce; her brother, Harold and her sisters Shirley and Sharon. Our family would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all our friends and the Sunrise View staff who have supported us during this difficult time. We look forward to seeing your rose garden in Heaven, Mom. I bet its beautiful!
