David Kendrick Brian
June 17th, 1955 - August 3rd, 2019
David Kendrick Brian, Sr. died on August 3, 2019 in Lexington, after showing over four years of courage and endurance in the face of cancer. Through it all, he kept his infectious joy and sense of humor. He was the husband of Marianne Brian. They shared 20 years of marriage together. David was born in Louisville, KY on June 17, 1955 and was a die-hard Cards fan and avid runner his whole life. He was the son of Conley and Ada Brian. David was the Director of Information Technology at Shriner’s Hospital for Children for 18 years until he retired this April. David is survived by his wife Marianne; his siblings Debbie Brian (Bob Shields) (Atlanta, GA) and Conley Brian (New York, NY); his children, David and Emily Brian (Lexington, KY), Thomas Brian (Santa Barbara, CA), Evan and Justin Kearns (Seattle, WA), Ethan and Hannah Richardson (Charlottesville, VA), and Emelie Richardson (Chimayo, NM); his grandchildren, Caleb, Kellan, Savannah, Jonah, Dorothy, Eloise and soon-to-be-arriving Baby Richardson; and his feline couch companion, Edie. A private inurnment will be held at Lexington Cemetery. A memorial reception will be held on Monday, August 12 at 5:30 PM at Malone’s Prime in Lansdowne Shoppes.
