Lexington- Gwendolyn Wells Alexander, 83, widow of Darrell “Bud” Allen Alexander, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2019. She was born in Odds, Kentucky on April 1, 1936 to the late Eugene and Alma Wells. Gwen is survived by her daughters, Kim Alexander, Lexington, Kara (Sam) Huffman, Cincinnati, OH, and Kelli (Everett) Alexander-Meador, Lexington; her sister, Elaine Andrusia, VA; her brother, Ralph (Barbara) Wells, Prestonsburg; her grandchildren, Stephen (Courtney) Boyd, Samantha Huffman, Nathan Huffman, Seth Alexander-Meador and Peyton Hackworth; and her great grandchildren, Ethan, Ava and Nolan Boyd. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Joyce O’Conner, Gayle Pfiefer and Evelyn “Suzie” Wells. She loved all the babies in her life and through the years she was called Nan-nan and finally Nannie. She dearly missed her husband Bud, over the last 2 years and is now rejoining him forever. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be Saturday, August 17, 2019 from 5-6 PM at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing.
