Madge Lilley Savage
February 8th, 1936 - November 15th, 2019
Madge Lilley Savage, 83, widow of Curt Savage, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 8, 1936 to the late William F. and Elnora Erdman Lilley. Curt and Madge moved to Versailles, Kentucky in 1972. Their four children graduated from Woodford County High School: Michael Savage (deceased, wife Elizabeth), Jeff Savage (wife Melissa), Carol Savage Yankey (husband Scott), and John Savage (wife Lisa). Their time in Versailles and later Lexington was spent with great friends and neighbors in Sycamore Estates and Ashland Park. Madge and Curt were dedicated to their 9 grandchildren: Lauren Savage, Leah Savage, Will Yankey, Jenny Yankey Willis (husband Frank), Ashley Savage (husband Fred), Jack Curtis Savage, Annabelle Savage, Lilly Savage and Jonah Savage and his 5 great grandchildren: Mabel, Frankie, Otto, Olivia, and Naomi. After they raised their kids Curt and Madge travelled. Some of their favorite trips included: Norway and England, the Grand Caymans with Will and Jenny, travelling across Canada by train with Mike and Shirley Jordon, as well as a wonderful week in South Carolina at the beach with all of the kids in 2006. Celebration of Life for Madge and Curt will be held at: Clark Legacy Center, 3000 Versailles Rd, Frankfort, KY 40601 Sunday, November 17, 2-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: the Jack Curtis Savage Cancer fund. Jack, Madge and Curt’s grandson, has been battling a rare form of cancer and will undergo a bone marrow transplant this month. Donations may be made to: gofundme.com/f/JackSavage
