Lexington - Michael "Mike" W. Brandenburg, 68, passed away Friday, December 25, 2020. He was born on September 13, 1952 to the late Edwin Taylor Brandenburg and Francis Clifton Stephens. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Esther Neal Brandenburg. Mike was employed by St. Joseph Healthcare in Lexington and veteran of the United States Marines. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Michelle (Johnny) Yazell, of Lexington, Yvonne (Rob) Hensley, of Paris, grandchildren, Rob (Corey) Hensley, Bradley (Kirstyn) Hensley, Jacob Yazell, Wesley Yazell, Matthew Yazell, great-grandchild, Madelyn Grace Hensley, sisters, Jennifer (John) Taylor, Julie (Robert) Nagler, Tammy (Feliciano) Navarro, brother, Joseph (Andrea) Brandenburg, and step-mother, Shirley Brandenburg. His sister Patricia Perkins preceded him in death. Visitation will be on Thursday December 31, 2020 from 12 until 2pm at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing. Private funeral services will follow at 2pm. Flowers are welcome and memorial contributions can also be made to Chance to Dance and the American Cancer Society. www.clarklegacycenter.com
