Stephen Harmon Kinney
March 4th, 1952 - January 29th, 2021
Stephen Harmon Kinney, 68, of Lexington, Kentucky, died January 29, 2021, at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born in Cynthiana, Kentucky on March 4, 1952 to Evelyn McCauley Kinney of Lexington and the late Paul C. Kinney. Steve was a retired mail carrier and a member of Broadway Christian Church. He was a proud veteran of the US Army, serving five years after graduating from Morehead State University, achieving the rank of Captain. Mr. Kinney later served in the Kentucky National Guard, advancing to the rank of Major. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda Cardinal Kinney; son, Michael (Ashlee) Kinney, Lexington; daughter, Audrey Kinney, Covington; brother, Brian (Martha Pat) Kinney, Lexington; sister, Ella (Mike) Burnett, San Angelo, Texas; a special aunt, Jean (Al) Pilant, who was like a sister to him, of Creede, Colorado; grandchildren, Cooper and Collins Kinney; four nieces, three nephews, and four great nieces. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his nephew. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 11:00 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to McLeod’s Coffee House in care of Access Ministries KY, Inc. P.O.
