Daniel Louis Lutz, 73, Nicholasville, passed away August 7, 2021 at home with his wife of 51 years. He was born November 25, 1947 in Ironton, Ohio. He was the son of the late Lawrence “Hans” Edward Lutz and Margaret “Billie” Elizabeth Hickey Lutz. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Theresa Lutz and Margaret Donley, and a brother, John Lutz and a sister-in-law, Sarah Goodwin. Dan is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Deedie Goodwin Lutz, one daughter, Stacy Lutz Davidson and granddaughter, Lahndyr Makai Davidson, Richmond, Indiana, a brother, Tony Lutz, of Ironton, Ohio, sister-in-law, Cornelia Lutz of Ironton, Ohio, brother-in-law Thomas Donley, Chesapeake, Ohio, brother-in-law, John Lisco, of Atlanta, Georgia, and nieces and nephews plus great nieces and nephews. Dan graduated from the University of Kentucky in Electrical Engineering (EE) and worked for IBM, Lexmark, and Lexel. In his spare time, he loved flying line-control airplanes, playing golf, and woodworking. Memorial services may be planned for a future date. In lieu of flowers, he would like contributions for Bluegrass Care Navigators, 1733 Harrodsburg Road, Lexington, Ky. 40504. No services are planned at this time.
