Sue Ann Francis
November 27th, 1934 - July 30th, 2010
Sue Ann Francis 8pt was born in Marion, Indiana November 27, 1934. She was the only child of Dorothy and Clint Wright. She married Bob Conn after graduating from high school. Bob was in the seminary in Kansas City, MO where they lived and had their first child, Debbie. As a minister they moved around the United States living in Yuma, AZ where they had their second child, Cathy, East Douglas, Mass where they had their third child, Bill until settling in Seattle, WA in 1963. They were married for 18 years. 8pt Sue worked as a loving mother and wife as well as a secretary at the various churches they served. She later used these skills and worked for Seattle First National Bank. 8pt Sue married Cecil Francis in 1975 and moved to Edmonds, WA. They shared 29 years together until his death in 2004. They could be found daily at the Edmonds Bakery and on Sundays at the Pancake Haus. Camping and fishing were favorite family vacations. They traveled to many parts of the world including England, Hong Kong, and around the United States to name a few. They often traveled to San Diego, CA to visit Sues daughters. Their home was the center of many family gatherings. 8pt Sue enjoyed, and was passionate about, gardening and the Arts. Her oil paintings adorned her home as well as her families. She enjoyed attending plays, dance performances and going to the symphony. She loved watching her birds and the animals around their homecats, raccoons, and squirrels. Having tea in the afternoon with a friend was a favorite past time. 8pt Sue was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and a friend to many. Her sweet, caring nature touched all who met her. She was never too busy to stop what she was doing to listen to others. 8pt Sue passed away peacefully at her home in Edmonds with her family around her on July 30, 2010. She leaves behind her two daughters, Debbie Smith and Cathy Mordente and their families, her stepdaughter, Beverly Frazier and fami five grandchildren, Christina Freeze, David Griffith, Shelly Baker, Jill Miles, and Jay Cockrum; and two great grandchildren, Nate and Kadin Cockrum.
