Lura June Milligan
February 28th, 1936 - September 14th, 2021
Lura June Milligan passed away on Sept. 14, 2021, due to complications from cancer. She was 85 years young. Lura’s health had been failing for years and few people besides her family knew the extent to which she struggled, but she did not go without a fight. Her joy for life and indomitable spirit kept her pushing through the pain. Lura was born and raised in Decatur, IL. survived by Lynda Marie (wife to Nick Schwendeman), Aileen Leslie (wife of Jack Thompson, pre-deceased), Daniel James (husband to Emily Gary), Maureen Suzanne (wife to Norman Eliason), David John, and Margaret Beth (pre-deceased wife to Frank Sia, 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Given her many moves and extensive travels, she will be fondly remembered by countless dear friends across the country. A memorial gathering will be Fri. Sept. 24th from 4-7pm at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Bluegrass Care Navigators, 1733 Harrodsburg Road, Lexington, KY 40504.
