Elmer "Red" Ray Wilson
January 14th, 1939 - December 19th, 2021
Elmer Ray Wilson, 82, husband of Nancy Sharp Wilson, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021. He was born in Liberty, KY on January 14, 1939 to the late Sarah Cain and Albert Wilson. Mr. Wilson was a acoustical contractor with Broadway Acoustical and later owned his own business. Besides his wife, of 60 years those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Debbie Brooks; three sisters; brother, Junior Clements; granddaughters, Amber (Jake) Conkwright, Kelsey Rae (Ashley) Banta; great grandchildren, Kylee, Kaleb and Kaiden; four nieces and five nephews; special friend of over 50 years Clay Tankersley. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by step father Clarence Clements, sisters Nina Vanoy, Nadine Sears and brother Mitch Clements Mr. Wilson was a true “man's man”. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, building and fixing things, and sports. He had a love for UK basketball and enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending time with his granddaughters and great grandkids. A visitation will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 12PM-2PM at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing with funeral service to follow at 2PM. Graveside service will immediately follow at 3PM in the chapel at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens, Nicholasville. Casket bearers include, Tim Humber, Clay Tankersley, Jeremy Clements, Jake Conkwright, Scott Tackett and David Harpster. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
