William "Bill" Franklin Patterson-71-passed away peacefully on January 23, 2022 at his residence in Nicholasville, Kentucky. He was born on February 9, 1950 in Madisonville, Kentucky to the late Mae Patterson and Wade Patterson. Bill was married to the love of his life Peggy Lundergan Patterson. Between them, they had five children; Carl Patterson (April) Texas, Tim Patterson (Tonya) Cincinnati, William Patterson Jr. (Christine) Lexington, Katie Fleming (Chris Carder) Shelbyville, Kristopher Riffe (Blossom) Lexington. They also shared eight Grandchildren; Ryleigh Kate Fleming, Leni Clair Riffe, Cierra Patterson, Taylor Patterson, William "Tripp" Patterson III, Jacob Patterson, Anna Patterson and Phoebe Patterson. Bill was retired from General Motors and the Jessamine County School System where he was a bus driver. After retirement Bill enjoyed his time fishing and playing golf. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, a beloved Step-Mother, Elizabeth Patterson, a brother, Danny-Dale Patterson, and his mother-in-law, Thelma McHugh. Left to honor Bill are his cherished Wife, Children and Grandchildren, sister Rita Maxwell and brothers Wade Douglas Patterson and James Eric Patterson. Bill had so many others that loved him. He will be greatly missed by his brother and sister in laws and many nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Clark Legacy Center, Nicholasville. Visitation will be Thursday January 27, 2022 from 10:00am-11:45am at St Luke's Catholic Church located at 304 South Main Street Nicholasville. Funeral service to follow at 12:00pm. Graveside service will be Thursday January 27, 2022 at 3:00pm located at St. Patrick's Cemetery US 68 Maysville, Kentucky. In lieu of Flowers, donations can be made in the memory of William "Bill" Patterson to Hospice of the Bluegrass-Care Navigators.
