Carl Peter Hessen
March 26th, 1918 - October 25th, 2009
Cal was born in Proctor, Minnesota to Peter and Olivia Hessen. Cal was a WWII Army Vesteran and after the war he moved to Seattle to pursue a career in commercial fishing. He was a long-time resident of Seattle then Mountlake Terrace, with wife of 72 years Mickey. During his lifetime Cal had careers in fishing, lumber and welding. Cal and Mickey spent many years traveling to California, Arizona and Hawaii. They also enjoyed years at Lake Conner Park. Cal was preceded in death by his wife, Mickey and daughter Kathy Craft. He is survived by his daughter Sue Greathouse; grandchildren: Lori Craft, Lisa (Dave) Spann, Steve Craft, Jeff Greathouse, and Shelley (Antonio) Delgado; and seven great grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 11am to 12noon; with Funeral service beginning at 12:30 on Saturday, November 7, at Becks Funeral Home, 405 Fifth Ave. S in Edmonds; 425-771-1234; Interment with Military Honors to follow at Holyrood Cemetery in Shoreline.
