Joan Garland Woodall
December 15th, 1934 - August 18th, 2022
Joan Garland Woodall, 87, widow of Euvon Woodall, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022. She was born on December 15, 1934 in Nicholasville, KY to the late Della Sams Garland and Frank Garland. Mrs. Woodall was a member of Boones Creek Baptist and worked for Fayette County Board of Education as a cafeteria manager for over 30 years. Those left to cherish her memory includes her daughter, Sharon Woodall (Charles) White; son, Tim Woodall; grandchildren, Cassie (Josh) Montgomery, Cameron (Ashley) White, Courtney (Corey) Robertson, Kendra Shumate, Trevor White; great grandchildren, Claxon Montgomery, Beckham Robertson, Blaine Robertson, Cooper White; and several nieces and nephews with whom she was very close. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Woodall is preceded in death by her daughter in law, Phillis Claxon Woodall; sisters, Wanda Garland Philips, Betty Garland Mobley; and brother Frank Garland, Jr. Some of Mrs. Woodalls favorite hobbies included quilting, bridge and boating. Visitation will be held Monday, August 22, 2022 from 11AM-12:30PM at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing with a funeral service starting at 12:30PM and pastor Rick Moreland officiating. Graveside will follow at 2PM at Athens Cemetery. Those serving as casket bearers include Corey Robertson, Josh Montgomery, Cameron White, Charles White, Trevor White and Rell Litteral. Honorary casket bearer is Claxon Montgomery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
