All-States Cremation - Wheat Ridge
Victor Munoz
July 19th, 1930 - April 20th, 2014
Victor Lee Munoz, A.K.A. “The Knife”, born in Denver, Colorado to Joseph Anastacio and Annie Munoz. He was one of 8 children, Jim, Alphonso, Gloria, Sam, Dan, Mary and Gerry. Victor was an excellent feather weight boxer in his younger years. He worked for the railroad, and later became a master carpenter; hailed as the best by all he worked for. Vic and Dorothy met through a girlfriend of his on several occasions. He once saw a continuation picture of Dorothy that belonged to a friend and stated, “I am going to marry that girl” Quite the Romeo! Eventually they started dating and married in July 1951; they were married just short of 63 years. Dorothy and Vic had 4 children – Kathy, Sissy (Gloria), Vic, and Nick. He was the loving grandfather of 10. He received the title “Great grandfather” for the first time in October 1994 with Sydney, and the last time in October 2014 with Chloe, and 17 great-grandchildren in between. Vic’s first great-great grandchild is due June 2014. Victor was quite a character in his younger days, nicknamed “The Knife” after a popular song (Mack the Knife) because of his sense of humor; He enjoyed “cutting people up” (Friendly jokes and jabs). Vic never really slowed down even into his 60’s. After retirement he was always there for Dorothy and family whenever needed, as well as his grandchildren whenever they needed. Victoria was like a 3rd daughter to him. He enjoyed coming up with nick-names for the many grandchildren he adored. Victor became an avid bird watcher and caretaker along with Dorothy; he trapped and relocated over 2,000 squirrels, not a hobby, but a job and obsession. He enjoyed “junking” and sharing his treasures with the family. Victor was a Broncos fan and loved his dogs, remaining sharp-as-a-tack until the very end. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Victor’s Family: Wife: Dorothy Daughter: Kathy -dec. grandchild: Vicky (m.
