John Palmisano, 49, loving husband of Ricka Kelsay Palmisano and devoted father of John Julian Palmisano, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 26, 2022. He was born in Mendota, Illinois, on February 13, 1973, to Pam and Larry Palmisano. In addition to his wife, Ricka, and parents, Pam and Larry, those left to cherish John’s memory includes his son, Julian Palmisano; brothers, Steve and Tim, and their spouses, Matt and Sue; nieces and nephews, Reece, Sloan, Katie, Anna, McKenzie, Noah, Jaret and Kody. John was adored by his close-knit family, and they gathered many times each year. John graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 1995, and was a valued member of the fraternity Sigma Alpha Epsilon. John worked in customer service for CMS Text/ Xooker and was also a member of Southland Christian Church, where he and his wife were married. John enjoyed golf and was a connoisseur of thoroughbred horse racing. He also shared the family curse as a passionate Cleveland Browns fan, and rarely missed a game. John’s greatest joy in life was people: his family and his many close friends. His great legacy is his heart of generosity: his willingness to always be there for others, any time of day or night, always a true friend. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at 12PM, Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing with visitation starting at 10AM until the time of service. Graveside service will follow at Lexington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to organizations that were important to John: Hospice of the Bluegrass, University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center, Shriners or Lexington Humane Society.
