Russell Joseph Mantz Jr.
January 1st, 1959 - December 1st, 2022
Russell Joseph Mantz, Jr., 63 years old, of Lexington, KY, passed away peacefully on December 1st, 2022. Russell was born in Florida on January 1st, 1959, to the late Russell Joseph Mantz, Sr. & Jane Mantz. He graduated from High School and went on to proudly serve in the United States Marine Corps. Upon his honorable discharge in 1981, Russell became a skilled master electrician by trade and a businessman/entrepreneur/real estate investor. He enjoyed spending time with his family, the ocean, classical music, traveling, vintage cars, woodworking, movies, weightlifting, collecting coins, and making others laugh. Russell was married to Jaqueline "Jackie" Zambrano on July 19th, 2018, and they were married for the final 4 years of his life. Russell is survived by a wife he cherished, Jackie Zambrano-Mantz; his daughters, SueAnn Unger (Nielsen), Sarah Scott (Brandyn), Arianna Biggs (Joseph), Sara Mantz, Rachel Sender and Christine Santillan; seven grandchildren, Briella Unger of Georgetown, KY, Ethan Scott of Riverview, FL, Lily Scott of Riverview, FL, Autumn Scott of Riverview, FL, Kilian Biggs of Knoxville, TN, Landyn Perkins of Lexington, KY and Caleb Sender of Lexington, KY; as well as a host of friends that he kept in close contact with for many, many years. Russell is preceded in death by his parents, Russell & Jane Mantz, and late wife LeeAnne Gaines Mantz. A celebration of life and visitation will be held at Clark Legacy Center on Tuesday, December 6th. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to The Ronald McDonald House of Lexington, KY. Jesus answered him, "Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise." Luke 23:43
