Terry Hager
August 28th, 1954 - April 20th, 2023
Terry Hager, native of Nicholasville, passed away on April 20, 2023 at the age of 68. He is survived by wife of 43 years Dana Grace Hager, with whom he had two children, Chester Hager (Deseraye) and Sabrina Hager (Agostino Brancato). He is also survived by son Terry “Hoss” Hager (Pamela) and sister Brenda Shultz (Roger). Terry was blessed with grandchildren Payton Hager (Jay Mesa), Joseph Hager, Amanda Hager (Joseph), Terry Joe Hager (Bren), Jasmine Hager and great grandchildren, Rosemary Mesa, Dillon Wayne, Wesley and Benjamin. Terry is preceded in death by father Herman “Daddy June” Hager Jr., mother Elizabeth Masters Hager, brother Billy Ray Hager, and baby sister Cynthia Hager. Terry was strong in his Christian faith, a daily Bible reader and a proud veteran of the US Marine Corps. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing, and with him passes an incredible knowledge of nature and all things wild. Terry was a skilled handy-man and jack of all trades, always willing to help a neighbor in need. As a woodcraft hobbyist, Terry loved to gift his creations to friends and family alike. In his younger years, he had a passion for baseball, loved to pick a guitar and carried a beautiful tune. He later retired to Paradise Acres in Somerset, Kentucky where his life’s passions flourished. Terry passed away surrounded by friends, dancing a jig with a fish on the line. A gathering of family and friends will be Mon. May 1, 2023 from 11am-1pm at Clark Legacy Center - Brannon Crossing followed by a celebration of life service at 1pm. Veteran honors to follow at 2:30pm at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
