Jerry Dixon Reske

JERRY DIXON RESKE, 74, long term resident of Edmonds, Wa, died suddenly on Sunday, June 3, 2018, from natural causes. In 1943, he was born the son of Engelbert and EdnaMae Reski in Eveleth, Minn. Jerry graduated from Virginia High School, in Virginia, Minn, in 1961. He served in the US Air Force stationed in Germany and briefly in Vietnam. He attended Bemidji State University, in Bemidji, Minn., and earned a degree in Business Management. While at Bemidji State he met his future wife and best friend, Elaine Pavlica, and they were married April 26, 1969, in Coleriane, Minn. Jerry was the President and CEO of Sound Masters Inc. and specialized in audio and video technology in Seattle, Wa., for over 30 years. Jerry’s hobbies included golf and fishing. He especially enjoyed crabbing and shrimping from his boat on Puget Sound and razor clam digging on the coast of Washington State. He was an avid collector of model Lionel trains and enjoyed spending time operating them. He enjoyed watching all types of sporting events but his favorite was USA Women’s Ice Hockey. He and his daughter also shared a fondness of the Green Bay Packers. Jerry enjoyed traveling all over the country exploring new places and returning to regale his family and friends of his adventures. Jerry is preceded in death by his father, Engelbert; his mother, EdnaMae; and his sister Kathleen Brenner. Survived by his wife of 49 years, Elaine; one daughter, Jessica (Richard) Derrick of Everett, Wa.; one son, Thomas (Alix) Reske of Lynnwood, Wa.; his sisters, Marcelline Norman of Vancouver, Wa., and Jo Anne (David) Kirkman of Orono, Minn.; three grandchildren Joseph Reske, Karissa Reske and Justin Zaragoza. There will be a small service for the immediate family at St. Thomas More Chapel on Friday, June 15, 2018 and a celebration of life memorial at a future date.
