Lea Ann Newman

Lea Ann Newman (nee Taylor), 72, of Lakewood died Dec. 3, 2017, surrounded by family. Lea Ann was born in Denver, CO on May 2, 1945, and grew up in Edgewater, CO. She was a graduate of Jefferson HS and Parks Business College and retired from Koppers Industries, where she worked since 1965. She was preceded in death by her parents; James Lewis Taylor and Mary Evelyn Edmondson-Taylor, and her brother and his wife, Dan, and Jane Taylor. She is survived by her loving family: ex-husband Robert (Teddy) Newman, 3 children, and their spouses; Lisa (Tom) McHenry, Robert (Kathleen), Kevin (Taylor), her Grandchildren; Michael, Joshua, Tucker, and Julea, her Nephews; Paul (Dianne) Taylor and Miles (Meghan) Taylor, and her nieces; Mary (King) Bennett and Cindy (Kenny) Palumbo, Great Nephews and Great Nieces; Zach (Caitlyn), Davis (Hannah), Travis, Noah, Brenna, Elizabeth, and Peyton, and her Cousins; Lynn, Juanita, Glenda, Margaret, AC, Sam, Jack, and John Preston. She was VERY proud of the fact that she was able to quit smoking in January 2016 after having smoked for over 50 years. She is loved and will be missed!
