Tevin I Lemke (better known as Tev or Weezy) passed away peacefully on Friday, 9.8.2023, at the young age of 17. He was surrounded by family and friends. Tevin was loved by everyone who knew him. He was wild, ridiculous, and would do anything to make the people around him laugh. Anyone who knew him will tell you he always brightened their day. He deeply loved the people close to him and consistently showed them he cared about them. He had a love for all animals, and they loved him back. Although his life was short, he had many adventures with family and friends. Tevin is survived by many, many who loved him. On his maternal side, his mother Leeann Cunningham (Jeff Moore), his memaw Sheree Cunningham (Mitchell Adams), and his uncle Jay Cunningham (Sarah Stephens). He is preceded in death by his grandfather Martin Cunningham. On his paternal side, he is survived by his father Nathan Lemke (Lyndsay Tyra), his brother Jadon Lemke (Molly Loman), his grandmother Laura Secor, his grandfather Craig Lemke (Susan Boyd), his uncles Andy Secor, Stewart Secor, Sean Secor, and Jack Lemke, and his Aunt Abby Lemke. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Aubrey Gaines, and countless friends who meant so much to him. Tevin was able to be an organ donor. Because of him, another 17-year-old boy received a heart and a kidney that he desperately needed. Because of Tevin, this boy will likely live a full life. Three other of the ~1,000 Kentuckians on the transplant waiting list also received organs that will hopefully allow them to continue their lives. As many as 50 will be helped through Tevin's tissue donations. Countless lives will be improved through contributions to medical research. Through these actions, Tevin will live on, and we are thankful for that. In memory of Tevin, we will celebrate his life at Clark Legacy Center on Friday September 15th from 1-4pm. We ask that you do not send flowers, but instead, become an organ donor and, second, donate to the Kentucky Organ Donation Association (KODA), where you can donate in his name. https://ukhealthcare.uky.edu/transplant-center/ about/gift-of-life# https://donatelifeky.org/partners/koda/ We love you, Tev. You will be forever missed.
