Lewis Edward McLean
July 30th, 1947 - February 2nd, 2024
Lewis Edward McLean, 76, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024 at his home in Lexington. Lewis was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky on July 30, 1947 to the late Billy McLean and Mattie Harper McLean. After proudly serving with the U.S. Army in Vietnam, Lewis went on to work in factories for many years. Lewis was known to be a huge UK sports fan, watching them play whenever he could. He also was a music lover and member of the Y’Oldies Oldies Band, playing the keyboard and percussions. He is survived by his four sisters, Patricia (Jim) Brumfield, Sherry (Jeff) Sauls, Alice (Steve) Tubbs and Paula (Danny) Dunn; his Aunt, Georgia McLean; cousins, Barry (Judy) Haney, Clay Haney, Carole Fox, and Gina Clemons; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Lewis was preceded in death by his four brothers, George McLean, Sammy McLean, Willie McLean and Jeffrey McLean. A funeral service for Lewis McLean will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 1pm at Clark Legacy Center, Nicholasville. Visitation will be from 11am till time of service at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
