James Joseph Morris

James Joseph Morris, 90, of Lexington, KY passed away on February 9, 2024, at the VA Medical Center in Lexington, KY. He was born in Lima, OH on December 27, 1933, to the late Huber and Hilda Morris. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked in sales for many years. James was an avid Bowler and Golfer in which he had one perfect game in bowling and 3 holes in one in golf. He was survived by one daughter, Melissa (Chris) Renner, Elkhart, IN; three sons, Jon Morris, Lexington, KY, James C. Morris, Lexington, KY and Brian (Juan Carlos) Morris, Freehold, NJ; three grandchildren, Christopher Morris, Lexington, KY, Jamie Lynn Proffitt, Bardstown, KY and Paul Kiser, Fort Wayne, IN; three great-grandchildren, Eammon Morris, Heidi Proffitt and Wyatt Proffitt and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his first wife Marilyn Morris and second wife, Isa Greene Morris; two sisters, Dolly Ehora Edwards and Sharon Montague; one brother, Phillip Morris. A visitation will be11 am-1pm Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Clark Legacy Center – Brannon Crossing followed by a service at 1pm.
