Gordon Wayne Current, 65, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024. He was born on October 24, 1958, in Lexington, KY to the late Elise Mae Adams and James Horace Current. Mr. Current was a veteran of the United States Army as well as the National Guard and had worked as an engineer for the Army. Those left to cherish his memory includes his significant other, Lori Laemmerman; sons, Brandon Scott Current, Aaron Michael (Mallory) Current; daughter, Codee Breanna Dayton Current; brothers, Harold “Pete” Current, CJ Current and 11 grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Glenn Harrison Current, and Roy Current. After a private family viewing, a graveside service will be held at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, on Friday, April 12, 2024, at 1:30pm with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local American Legion.
