John Thomas Hill, 85, husband of Kurley Howell Hill, passed away Monday, May 13, 2024. He was born on August 2, 1938, in Cliff, Kentucky to the late Muriel Dills and James Knox Polk Hill, III. Mr. Hill was a member of Tates Creek Presbyterian Church and was a graduate from the University of Kentucky with a degree in civil engineering. Besides his wife, Kurley, those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Jennifer, Annette, Sherry Lou, Johnna Elizabeth; son, John II Thomas; eight grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hill is preceded in death by a grandson, Adam Rozovich; and his sisters, Helen, Nancy and Jane. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 17, 2024, at 1pm at his church, Tates Creek Presbyterian, Lexington, KY, officiated by Mark Randle. A reception will follow the service and a private family burial will take place later at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens, Nicholasville, KY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bluegrass Care Navigators (formally Hospice).
