Linda Louise Gregory, 78, wife of the late Ben Gregory, passed away on May 16, 2024, in Lexington. Linda was born in Pound, Virginia, on August 14, 1945, to the late Ralph Elkins and Ruble Slemp Elkins. Throughout her life, Linda was known for her kindness, generosity, and strength, which touched the lives of all who knew her. She had a remarkable ability to brighten any room with her presence, bringing joy to those around her. Linda cherished her roles as a mother, childcare provider/teacher, and pastor's wife, always putting the needs of her loved ones above her own. She served along with her husband in ministry with several churches in Ohio and Kentucky. In addition to her role as a pastor's wife, Linda was a beloved childcare provider and teacher who inspired countless children with her passion for learning about Jesus. In her free time, Linda enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. She found solace and happiness in the simple moments of life, treasuring each day with those she held dear. Linda is survived by her loving son, Benson (Alicia) Gregory; sisters, Janice, Joyce, and Helen; brothers, Donnie and Freddie; and grandchild, Luke. In addition to her parents and husband, Linda was preceded in death by her sister, Sue, and her brother, Jimmy. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 1:30 pm at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville, Kentucky. Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Mrs. Linda Gregory to International Orphan Rescue, Inc. Linda will forever remain in our hearts, her spirit living on through the countless lives she touched.
