Doris Lancaster McManaway, 91, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2021. The wife of Edward McManaway, Doris was born November 22, 1929 to the late Roy and Rose Hardesty Lancaster in Woodford County, Kentucky. In addition to her loving husband, Edward McManaway, Doris is survived by her daughters, Sandra Carter of Versailles and Lana Gabbard of North Carolina; a sister, Ann Routt of Versailles; a brother, Jerry Lancaster of Versailles; and four grandchildren, Rebecca Herpick, Lydia Gabbard, Madeleine Gabbard, and Charlotte Gabbard. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Rose Hardesty Lancaster and a brother, Herbert Lancaster. A Graveside Service will be held 3:00p, on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Versailles Cemetery, with Pastor Michael Cabel officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Lancaster, Griff Reed, Roy Wayne Lancaster, Mark Cress, Jason Thompson, and Justin Zielke. Ron Mitchell will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
