William “BJ” Hampton, 42, passed away Monday, August 16, 2021. He was born in Fort Knox, Kentucky on February 13, 1979. BJ was an awesome mechanic, he loved working on cars and remodeling old houses. He loved riding his motorcycle and turkey hunting. BJ was extremely funny and would give anyone the shirt off his back. He always knew how to bring everyone together and light up the room. He loved his family; he certainly was a Harley (loved the ride) and Chevy man. He will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Debra (Harold) Wright, Versailles; father, Thomas Large, Greensburg; fiancee’ Dana Brooks; maternal grandmother, JoAnn Hall; daughters, Peyton (Peypey)Elizabeth Hampton and Gerrilynn (Sissy)Hampton; son, Jesse Wyatt Hampton; sisters, Barbara Hampton (James Bradley Winkler), Versailles, Mary Elizabeth Hampton, Versailles, Brandy Marie Large, Greensburg; brother, Thomas Michael Large, II, PA; John Thomas (Michelle) Wright, VA and Harold Anthony Wright, Jr, Versailles; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William R. Hall; and his stepmom, Janice Marie Large. Private services were held.
