Ty Hawkins

Ty Hawkins, 79, husband of Karen Slugantz Hawkins, passed away Monday, May 2, 2022. He was born in Bogard, Missouri on May 31, 1942 to the late Chet and Polly Hawkins. Mr. Hawkins had a long career at General Motors, followed by the Kentucky Teachers' Retirement System. He was a member of Pinckard Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Douglas (Sheri) Hawkins, Steve (Patti) Hawkins, Mike (Jill) Hawkins; step daughter Shannon (Justin) Couch: sister Judy Harless; grandchildren, Ashlynn (Tyler) Cagel, Chase (Amelle) Hawkins, Grant Hawkins, Will Hawkins, Cody Hawkins, Branden (Chelsea) Hawkins: step grandchildren Rylie Couch, Wade Couch and great grandaughter Leighton Hawkins. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday May 8, 2022 at 4:00 pm at Pinckard Baptist Church, Versailles, with Rev. Mike James, Rev. Tom Troth and Rev. Jeremy Aliff officiating. Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm until time of service at the church. Burial will be Monday May 9, 2022 12:00 pm at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens in Nicholasville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Pinckard Baptist Church, Woodford County Humane Society, Hope Spay and Neuter Clinic or animal charity of your choice.
