Elmer McLellon Johnson, 94, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022. The husband of Mary Hunt Johnson, Elmer was born December 28, 1927, to the late Charles and Lila Clodfelter Johnson in Geneseo, Illinois. A veteran of the United States Army, Elmer was a farmer and assembler for John Deere, working on heavy farming equipment for 25 years. In addition to his loving wife of 71 years, Mary Hunt Johnson, Elmer is survived by his children, Susan (Mark) Roark of Versailles, Shari Jenigan of Texas, Angie (Bruce) Nielson of Illinois, and Bruce (Connie) Johnson of Florida; 12 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. Elmer was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lila Clodfelter Johnson; sons, Kevin Johnson and Michael Johnson; a sister and her husband, Florence and Pete Misfeldt; and his brother, Lee Johnson. Services are private with Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill, in Versailles, Kentucky.
