Chris Welch, 54, husband of Tammy Wash Welch, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022 in Versailles. Chris was born in Paintsville. Kentucky on March 21, 1968. Chris graduated from Morehead University and was a Team Leader for Toyota Manufacturing. He was a valued member of Journey Church, where he served tirelessly. Chris was an incredible son, husband and dad. He relished teaching his son, Camden all the things he loved doing, including fishing and woodworking. He was an avid reader, music and loved taking his family on trips so they could see and experience the wonders of this world together. Chris had such a servant heart, and truly loved helping others any way he could, with anything they may need. In addition to his wife of 24 years, he will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Margaret Meek, Paintsville; son, Camden Welch, Versailles; and uncles, Doug (Gretchen) Welch, GA and Billy Welch, Paintsville; Euna Hesson , Paintsville; Oliver Welch, Paintsville, Linville (Louise)Welch, Paintsville, Ida Mae Ratliff(James) deceased, and many cousins who will forever hold him in their hearts, well as all of Tammy's family who loved Chris dearly. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Journey Church, 320 Hope Lane, Versailles at 6:30PM. Visitation will be from 4:00PM until the time of service at Journey Church. Casketbearers will be his brothers-in-law and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Chris to Journey Church or Cam’s college education fund.
