Tommie Bess Bevill

Tommie Bess Newton Bevill, 90, passed away on December 22, 2022 in Lexington. Mrs. Bevill was born in Augusta, Georgia on December 13, 1932 to the late Thomas and Gussie Hodges Newton and grew up in Hilltonia, Georgia. She was a Teacher with Nativity Catholic School and was a member of Southside Baptist in Savannah, Georgia. She is survived by her daughter, Vickie (Billy) Childers, Versailles; son, Allen Bevill, GA; grandchildren, Michael (Emily) Childers, Wesley (Sarah) Childers, Jennifer (Tony) Lucido, Brittany Bevill, Jamie Bevill, Bess Warren and numerous great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bevill was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Wesley Bevill; daughter, Jennifer Bevill Warren; son, Lee Bevill; and great grandchildren, Henry Childers and Haleigh Warren. Visitation for Mrs. Bevill will be held on Tuesday December 27, 2022 at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. Burial will be in Savannah, Georgia at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Tommie Bevill to Henry Childers Memorial Fund or Southside Baptist Church in Savannah Georgia.
