On Monday, September 7, 2020 Bill Trumble, loving husband to Carol, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away from heart disease at the age of 82. Bill was born in Lincoln Nebraska. He lived in Nebraska and Oklahoma before his family moved to Denver where he spent most of his childhood. Bill proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1959 to 1963. He was a member of the 1st Marine Division Honor Guard, 3rd Marine Division and VFW Post 1324 (Past Commander). Bill was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Oregon City. He enjoyed fishing, rodeos, good food and trips to Hawaii. After a long career in the grocery business, including King Soopers in Colorado and Carrs Quality Centers in Alaska, Bill retired in 1999 from Fred Meyers in Oregon. He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Mary and his four siblings. Bill is survived by his wife Carol and by his children Mike (Erin) Trumble, Patsy (Curt) Nelson, Carolyn Trumble and Chris (Greg) Hanson. Bill had 7 grandchildren: Kayla (Cody) Cooper, Kristyn Mance, Kasey Hanson, Jesse Hanson, Liam Nelson, Noah Osten, and Cole Osten. He had 4 great grandchildren: Skyler Trumble, Quentin Cooper, Sloan Mance and Link Cooper. Bill was devoted to his family and his friends. He will forever be in our hearts. A funeral mass was held in September 2020 at St. John the Apostle Church in Oregon City. His burial service was held at Willamette National Cemetery in June 2021.
