Betty Lou Alley

Church Hill - Betty Lou Roller Alley, 92 of Church Hill, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Preston Place following a long illness. She was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County and after 19 years of service, retired from S&S Custom Tapes in 1994 where she worked as a production supervisor. Betty was a member of Okolona United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Alley; grandson, Joel Scott Alley; parents, Jake and Glenna Horton Roller; brothers, Elmer Roller and Claude Roller and wife Mabel. Betty is survived by her daughter, Brenda Mason and husband Joe of Kingsport; sons, Jerry Alley and wife Brenda of Maryville, TN and Doyle Alley and wife Nancy of Gate City; grandchildren, Sherri (Jason) Pesterfield, Terri (Brently) Best, Angela Alley, Bradley (Angelia) Alley, Jennifer Mason and Bethany Alley; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Ann Alley and husband Hugh of Church Hill; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Okolona UMC, C/O Kathleen Ford, 813 Green Street, Church Hill, TN 37642. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill is serving the Alley family.
