Eric Lee Anderson
March 1st, 1963 - April 11th, 2023
Eric Anderson passed away on April 11, 2023 in Seattle, WA due to complications with Lymphoma. Born March 1, 1960 in Seattle, WA. Adopted by Sylvia Anderson from Children’s Home Society of Washington. As a boy he joined the Boy Scouts of America with his father Andy Anderson as his scout master. He went on to become an Eagle Scout with highest of honor and badges. Shortly after, Eric graduated from Ballard High School early to begin his commercial fishing career. Fishing was his life passion and he loved spending his time on the water. Amongst other things, Eric was a world traveler, gardener, painter, father and adventure seeker. He saw the lands of Thailand, Nepal, Cambodia, Russia, Fiji, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand just to name a few. Everywhere he lived he planted elaborate gardens with Tulips and Daffodils as a staple to all. When Eric wasn’t fishing, traveling, or gardening he was found camping and enjoying the outdoors. It’s safe to say Eric lived a full life, even though short. Eric is survived by his daughter Zoë Smith and granddaughter Emery Smith. Preceded in death by his parents Andy (Elwyn) Anderson and Sylvia Anderson. If you feel inclined to make a memorial donation in Eric’s honor, please do so to The Seattle Fisherman’s Memorial. A memorial tile will be engraved with Eric’s name in his honor and will be viewable to the public at the Fisherman’s Memorial site at Fisherman’s Terminal in Seattle. All donations can be made via their website: www.seattlefishermensmemorial.org Please add note, “In memory of Eric Anderson” to your donation. Click Here to Watch Event
