We have served the Woodbury community since 1951, when our founder, James A. McGuinness, opened our first funeral home. He knew the importance of families having a trustworthy, local funeral home to help them memorialize their lost loved ones and navigate grief. Our beautiful funeral home in Woodbury was originally built in the late 1700s, and has since been rebuilt to honor its original charm and comfortable, warm feel. Once you walk through our doors, you become family.

- Consultation with responsible party for final arrangements.
- All the necessary permits and authorizations.

- Many other optional services available - including celebration of life event planning, traditional funeral service, on-site catering, scattering assistance, and more - at additional charge.

Burial Services Starting At
$4,000
- Price is for burial with no visitation or formal services and ceremonies. Does not include casket, outer burial container, or cemetery costs.
- Includes all of the essential services of the funeral director and staff.
- Removal of your loved one as well as local transportation to the cemetery for burial (within 5 miles).
- Care of your loved one until burial is complete. Family not present with timing at the discretion of the funeral home.
- Consultation with responsible party for final arrangements.
- All the necessary permits and authorizations.
- Free self-service online obituary.
- Many other optional services available - including celebration of life event planning, traditional funeral service, on-site catering, police escort to the gravesite, and more - at additional charge.

Richard and Staff were extremely professional. They were very sincere and had the utmost integrity with regards to the situation my family and I was in. They guided us through this terrible time my family and I was facing. They kept the lines of communication and guidance open for us from the beginning of this process to the end of the process. From the very start of our meeting with Richard, to all of the others we encountered including Gianna, Brianna, Julie (I know I'm leaving someone out), my family and I were given utmost respect and compassion during the days after my mother's death. They followed our lead with our requests for the funeral and worked with us each step of the way. Having pre-arrangements done several years back made the process so much easier so that important decisions had already been made. My family and I just concentrated on our memories and what paintings we wanted to display of our talented mother's artwork. It was a week between her death and the funeral so that gave us enough time to collect our memories of photos. The video that the staff created was so beautiful and well organized. So many little details were handled for me by Gianna and the others; it made the whole experience very smooth and complete. Thank you all for this very important work that you do and we highly recommend McGuinness Funeral Home to handle your loved ones care.
