Everett L. Castle, age 79, of Venice, FL died Friday, August 22, 2008 at Health South in Sarasota, FL. He was a member of the Venice Church of the Nazarene for the past 23 years where he served on several church boards. He was also a member of the Grove City Church of the Nazarene in Ohio for 14 years. He was very active in Work and Witness Ministries having served on 15 mission trips involving building churches for undeveloped areas in Central America. He was also involved with his wife in personal evangelism programs throughout his Christian life. He loved his Lord Jesus above all others. He is survived by his devoted wife Sarah, his son Mike (Pam) Castle of Ohio; daughter Karen (John) Boutieller of North Port, FL; daughter Sharon Norris of Ohio; son Mark (Bonnie) Castle of Nebraska; son Terry Hatfield of Colorado; son Jim (Debbie) Hatfield of Venice; son Mike (Tonya) Hatfield of North Port; brother Joe Castle of Ohio; sister Janet Stewart of Ohio; 19 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 26th at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel from 5 – 8 PM. There will also be a viewing at the Venice Church of the Nazarene on Wednesday, August 27th from 10:30 to 11:00 am with a funeral service beginning at 11 AM. Burial will be at Venice Memorial Gardens following the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Venice Church of the Nazarene, 1535 E. Venice Ave., Venice, FL 34292.
