March 14th, 1954 - August 21st, 2008
William D. (Bill) MacPherson, age 54, of Venice and Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away on August 21, 2008. He was born on March 14, 1954 in Goderich, Ontario, Canada and moved to Venice in 1969 from Canada. He moved to Port Charlotte from Venice ten years ago. He did carpentry work for the Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus in Venice for six years, worked for his family at Television of Venice and he was also a cabinet maker. He is survived by his sister, Linda Farrell of Kingsville, Ontario, Canada and Venice; niece, Cheryl Purcell of North Port; nephews, Michael (Amanda) O’Brien, David O’Brien both of Venice and two great nephews. A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2008 from 6:30PM-7:30PM at Farley Funeral Home in Venice. Burial will be private at Venice Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Suncoast Humane Society, 6781 San Casa Drive, Englewood, Florida 34224. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling the arrangements.
