Joseph Ritacca, age 93, of Venice, Florida, passed away on July 16, 2008. He was born on April 29, 1915 in Chicago, Illinois. He was a Captain with the Kenosha City Fire Department for 30 years and retired in 1975. He was also a member of St. Thomas of Aquinous Catholic Church in Kenosha. He moved to Venice, Florida in 1985 from Kenosha. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Yolanda; children, Salvatore (Rose) of Fountain Hills, Arizona, Joseph (Joan) of Venice, Florida, Rosemarie (Charles) Herman of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, Jenniene (Ken) Ritacca of Redmond, Oregon; a sister, Sylvia Pryzlomski of Lac du Flambeau, Wisconsin; eight grandchildren, Monique(Louis)Ritacca Herena, Nicole Ritacca, Annmaire Ritacca, Corin Ritacca, Mark (Jenna) Ritacca, Gregory Herman, Gina (Michael) Bryan and Jeffrey Herman. He also leaves behind six great-grandchildren. Visitation with graveside services will be held in Kenosha, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Farley Funeral Home in Venice, Florida is handling the arrangements.
