Jean L. Mercurio, age 88, of Venice, died on June 13, 2008. She was born in Cambridge, MA on June 29, 1919 and came to Venice from Cape Cod. She was a nurse in several hospitals and nursing homes in the Boston area. Jean was a member of the Catholic Faith. She loved to cook, and she enjoyed fishing and gardening. Surviving family members include her sons Peter of Nashua, NH, Paul of Venice, John of York, ME, and James of Kingston, NH; daughter Angela O’Connell of Venice; sister Lena Mercurio of Arlington, MA; 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Visitation will be at Farley Funeral Home on Thursday, June 19, 2008 from 7 – 9 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, June 20, 2008 at 10 AM with burial to follow at Venice Memorial Gardens.
