Thomas S. Bixler, Venice, FL, formerly of Kearny, NJ, passed away May 22, 2008. Mr. Bixler was born January 9, 1927 in East Orange, NJ and has been a resident of Venice for nine years. He was a WWII Navy Veteran and a graduate of Rensselaer PolyTech in NY; member of Venice Presbyterian Church, Venice Planning Board, and Kearny Optimist Club. He was a 50 year Masonic member of Copestone Lodge #108 in Kearny, NJ; past President of NJ Board of Realtors. He was a lifelong boater and golfer. Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Marjorie; four children: Thomas, Jr. of Oxford, MD, David of York, PA, Suzanne Lepple of Alexandria, VA and Nancy Bixler of Maine; seven grandchildren; brother, Edward C. Bixler of Kearny, NJ. A Memorial Service will be held 10 AM, Saturday, May 31, 2008 at Venice Presbyterian Church. Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel, is handling arrangements. Memorial Donations may be made to Venice Presbyterian Church Choir Fund, 111 East Firenze Avenue, Venice, FL 34285.
